Electric Forest is just around the corner! Over two weekends at the end of June, thousands of festival attendees will be basking in the forest. This week, the festival has finally released their set times, festival map, and unveiled an app for it all! Whether you’re attending weekend 1 or 2, the lineup has been out for a while and we’ve all been anticipating the set times!
This is it trance fam, the moment we’ve all been waiting for! Electric Daisy Carnival is next weekend and this year Insomniac has given us what trance heads have been dreaming of for years – a stage dedicated to trance! No longer will Cricut Grounds be the almost-trance stage, this year Quantum Valley will be where we’re headed to get our much needed fix of all those trance feels. With such a great lineup of trance artists, the question is, who are you gonna catch at Quantum Valley? While I could spend all three days of EDC at Quantum Valley, there are just too many things to do and see. If you’re a major trance fan like me, here are the 4 trance artists you can’t miss at Quantum Valley!
For the third year in a row now, Insomniac has held an EDC Week Charity Auction featuring once-in-a-lifetime experiences with some of the most influential names in the dance music industry, all in efforts to raise funds for local nonprofit organizations. Since the launch of this auction, Insomniac has raised more than $200,000. The Boys & Girls Clubs of Southern Nevada will receive 100 percent of the funds that are donated from this year’s Insomniac’s EDC Week Charity Auction. What would you bid on, a chance to pop champagne with Armin Van Buuren at EDC or maybe to meet Herobust and watch his set at the Basspod on stage?!
What started off as a manifestation of a trance lover’s wet dream has now evolved into a movement for what once was thought as a dying genre. Growing up in the-middle-of-nowhere-Visalia-California, I was surrounded by cows, immigrants trying to find their American Dream through their children and radio stations flooded with rap and hip-hop (the booty shaking music). Trying to find my taste in music, I found salvation through old CDs that had classic tracks such as Tiesto’s “Traffic” or ATB’s “Ecstasy” burned onto it. In my teens, I would imagine myself to be at a ‘90s rave as “Sandstorm” blared its dun-dun-dun onto the dancefloor, surprising my dates while they are still stuck on the dance moves associated with “Get Low.”
It won’t be long til we’re all reunited in Vegas for the most anticipated festival of the summer, EDC Las Vegas! For the third consecutive year, iHeartRaves and our sister brands EmazingLights and Into the AM will partner with the Luxor Hotel and Casino to bring the Lux Rave pop-up store to Electric Daisy Carnival Week June 14-18!
