In just under a month, Tiny Dancer, Mama Unicorn, and I will be leaving sunny Southern California for the 10th anniversary of Outside Lands Music and Arts Festival in beautiful San Francisco! From August 11-13, Golden Gate Park will turn into a playground for music lovers filled with some of the best craft beers and bites in the Bay Area.
The line up is unique and features a variety of genres which will be a nice change from our usual EDM festivals. Alongside dance music favorites Above & Beyond, Kaytranada, and Louis the Child will be other favorites like Gorrilaz, The Whos, Young the Giant, Empire of the Sun and more! Though the line up (below) is crazy good, that’s not all we’re looking forward to at Outside Lands.
Food and drinks are a huge part of Outside Lands, and they always curate a stellar list of restaurants to bring you delicious bites. If you love food, Outside Lands’ Gastro Magic is a celebration of culinary exploration that you won’t be able to resist! Check out their awe-inspiring and intriguing events framed around culinary arts here.
The festival is also geared towards being eco-friendly with green programs and workshops. Outside Lands is working with a variety of non-profit organizations who will be hosting activities. Garden for the Environment will even be hosting a composting workshop where attendees can learn the wonders of worm composting. Check out all of the non-profits that’ll be there and their greening programs here.
Outside Lands has more than just a stacked line up of some of the best artists in the world along with some of the best bites in the Bay Area. There are a plethora of other activities to keep you busy between sets including Cocktail Magic, a celebration of the top cocktail bars with remarkable performances from top magicians. If magic and cocktails are not quite your thing, maybe a good laugh at a comedy show will entice you. With so many experiences to offer, Outside Lands is a festival you have to experience once in your life.
