November is a wonderful time of year. Thanksgiving is so close you can smell the delectable turkey on your dining room table, the seasons are changing into sweater weather (unless you live in Florida like I do), and most importantly, Global Dance Festival makes its finale stop of 2015 in the heart of Chandler, Arizona.
Let’s be real here folks. What could be a better Thanksgiving-eve event than one of this magnitude? Global Dance Festival comes in three chapters throughout the second half of the year. Its first stop is in Colorado, followed by Missouri, and now the time has come for it to invade the deserts of Arizona for its Wild West Edition.
For a single day event, GDF puts on quite an incredible show. Its predecessors in Missouri and Colorado were met with positive reviews and an impressive collection of artists, so when they invade the Wild West for its final showing of the year it is sure to be memorable.
Along with a recognizable and enjoyable brand, GDF is coming hard with possibly its biggest lineup to date. The wide array of fresh up-and-comers is bound to leave patrons enthralled and introduce a mass amount of people to some of the latest and finest artists popping up from mild obscurity.
However, this lineup is not absent of solidified world renown talent. After teasing retirement not too long ago, Deorro is still out and about dropping hits and showing up at major festivals as his popularity is at an all-time high. The Panda Funk leader is consistently one of the best in the biz and never fails to leave his live audiences in a state of awe.
The ever-so-mysterious Marshmello is also making a highly-anticipated appearance at GDF. His identity may be shrouded in mystery, but his music is making waves across the nation. Seemingly coming out of nowhere, his remixes to some of the biggest songs of the year have fans salivating for more from the masked marsh man.
NGHTMRE is another name beginning to make waves in EDM. His recent EP release with Slander has boosted both of their popularities ten-fold and people are starting to realize the immense talent from this California kid. The trap king himself Diplo praised some of his work, which is pretty cool, and Arizona is sure to be introduced to some of the newest and craziest trap sounds ever imagined once he hits the stage.
The lineup is quite dense well beyond those names as well. Big Gigantic brings a special live energy to all of their performances, RL Grime brings some of the heftiest bass around, and no one can deny the talent in Cashmere Cat, Mija, Gesaffelstein, and the Totally Enormous Extinct Dinosaurs.
Relentless Beats and Global Dance are no slouches when creating an exhilarating atmosphere for all music lovers to enjoy. It is a one-day event, but they are sure to pack a solid three days’ worth of jubilation and celebration into that November 20 date with the members of the Arizona rave community and all those who make the trek.
Tickets are extremely well-priced as well, with General Admission starting at $59, so if you’re looking for an event that’s equal parts awesome and affordable, this is your golden opportunity.
Bask in the incredible atmosphere, enjoy some of the best up-and-comers around, and get ready for a night you won’t soon forget. November 20, Global Dance Festival is the place to be. Don’t miss out!
