EDC Week Charity Auction 2017: Unforgettable Opportunities
Inside Scoop

EDC Week Charity Auction: Creating Opportunities for Everyone

For the third year in a row now, Insomniac has held an EDC Week Charity Auction featuring once-in-a-lifetime experiences with some of the most influential names in the dance music industry, all in efforts to raise funds for local nonprofit organizations. Since the launch of this auction, Insomniac has raised more than $200,000. The Boys & Girls Clubs of Southern Nevada will receive 100 percent of the funds that are donated from this year’s Insomniac’s EDC Week Charity Auction. What would you bid on, a chance to pop champagne with Armin Van Buuren at EDC or maybe to meet Herobust and watch his set at the Basspod on stage?!

There were many prize options in every category from food, to adventures and experiences. You name it, they have it, and with all different kinds of artists. You could casually eat dinner with Cash Cash, sushi with Ephwurd (Bais Haus & Datsik), Morgan Page, Jauz or pizza with Showtek, to name a few. I would definitely bid on those; DJs and food? Count me in! For the adventure type, there is an opportunity to fly into EDC on a helicopter with Above & Beyond (I know Tiny Dancer would love this) or to race exotics with Excision (I’d give anything to experience this one). You can never go wrong with an opportunity of a lifetime being guests of your favorite DJ at a nightclub. Living it up like they do, who’d you want to go with Andrew Rayel, TIËSTO, or Illienium? Plenty of opportunities to choose from EDC Week Charity Auction that fits anyone’s dreams! Teeing off with Daddy Borgore at Top golf, gambling with Seven Lions, or playing games with Party Favor at LEVEL UP, the list has over 30 experiences to choose from. There’s even a mentor session with Insomniac’s head of talent or a night out with Night Owl radio, which I don’t think anyone could pass those up!

All these amazing opportunities are going to benefit a great nonprofit The Boys & Girls Clubs of Southern Nevada. They have over 14 facilities in Southern Nevada helping 20,000 youth, that’s 20% of the ravers that enjoyed EDC 2016! The Boys & Girls Clubs of Southern Nevada mission is to enable all young people, especially those who need us most, to reach their full potential as productive, caring, responsible citizens. They are spreading P.L.U.R. starting at a young age and with Insomniac’s help it will only get better. Insomniac partnered with eBay for Charity to ensure 100 percent of these opportunity profits go to the Boys & Girls Clubs of Southern Nevada.

DRUMROLL PLEASE!!!

The results are in, after all the efforts Insomniac made while partnering with eBay for Charity and Surreal to give back, they raised over $162,000 for the Boys & Girls Clubs of Southern Nevada! Pasquale Rotella was amazed at the results by participating fans, “We partnered with Surreal for the first time to give everyone a fair shot at winning a special experience this year, and the response was incredible. Thank you to all that participated, because of you we raised our highest total yet for the Boys & Girls Clubs of Southern Nevada.”

Andy Bischel, President and CEO of Boys & Girls Clubs of Southern Nevada said “we never imagined such an incredible outpouring of generosity and support, with these funds, we will be able to enhance 14 fully developed art programs, buy supplies, and foster creativity for our kids across Southern Nevada.” Since the launch of the EDC Week Charity Auction in 2015, Insomniac has raised over a new total of $355,000 for local nonprofits, with the help of eBay for Charity and artists and premier Las Vegas businesses.
