EDC is Coming to Tokyo Japan!

The rave community and our love for EDM have reached a global scale! Dance music isn’t new to other countries and in Asia, they’ve been quietly dancing to techno beats longer than their American counterparts think. But EDM culture and big festivals have only just started growing in Asia and this week, we’re prepping for one of the most highly anticipated events in Asia as Insomniac’s Electric Daisy Carnival is coming to Tokyo, Japan!

This coming weekend from Saturday, April 29 to Sunday, April 30, Tokyo Bay will be transformed into a wonderland of incredible music and art. Zozo Marin Stadium and Makuhari Beach is the perfect setting for a beachside celebration and we can’t wait to see what EDCJP has in store for us! This will be Japan’s first EDC ever and will mark EDC’s 5th international destination.

The venue will host four of EDC’s iconic stages including the beloved kineticCATHEDRAL which debuted at EDC Las Vegas in 2014. This year, iHeartRaves will be covering the EDCJP festival experience on SnapChat. Watch some of our favorite Japanese ravers Yuri (@partyfishjp) and Saori (@saorimilk) take over EDC JP and bring us into their world of raving! These girls are true ravers and love PLUR culture! Yuri is a huge advocate for PLUR culture in Japan and has been on Japanese TV shows promoting and teaching others about PLUR culture. Get to know a little more about Yuri here.

Though the event is a lot smaller than EDC Las Vegas, the lineup is still fire! With big names like Kaskade, Martin Garrix, Kife Party and more to fresh faces like Nicole Moudaber, Gryffin, and Louis the Child, there’s a little bit of something for everyone. Check out the full lineup and ticket info below and keep an eye out for these two beauties at EDCJP!
