Suwannee Hulaween was one of the most magical weekends of my life. Located just barely on the cusp of the Florida/Georgia state line, the Suwanee Hulaween music festival is tucked into Spirit of Suwanee Music Park. Hulaween boasts 3+ stages, art, a unique environment, camping, eclectic music and the most amazing people you will ever meet. This year’s Hulaween boasted over 21,000 fans in attendance which nearly tripled their attendance from last year!
- The People
“Everyone is so nice. By far the best people to be surrounded by at an event I’ve been to.”
Those are just a couple of the statements I overheard while at Hulaween. Maybe it’s the mix of blue-grass, EDM, and other genres that attract a variety of beautiful souls.
- The Art
From flow arts to sculptures to paintings and vendors Hulaween had an abundance of breathtaking art.
- The Environment
Suwannee Music Park exemplifies how beautiful Florida can truly be. The music park is located in the middle of a huge pine forest. The forest is right by the Suwannee River, which boasts hardwood swamps, cypress domes, creeks and many other scenic nature sites. These are forests full of grandfather moss and low bearing trees perfect for hammocks and keeping cool. So cool in fact that many campers slept out in the open, without a tent under bright moon and stars. This year’s Hulaween extended into Spirit Lake. Spirit Lake was infused with lights, which gave a spooky, eerie but amazing effect as seen below.
